High-energy physics

The HEP group of the II. Institute of Physics in Göttingen is participating in two high-energy physics experiments: the ATLAS experiment at the LHC in Geneva (CERN) and the DØ experiment at the Tevatron near Chicago (Fermilab). In addition, the group is participating in the development of detectors for the LHC upgrade and the ILC and Belle.

Grid computing (Goe Grid Tier 2)

The II. Institute of Physics is participating in the Grid activities in Göttingen.
